Imagine a crisp winter afternoon...
Guests arrive crossing on the scenic chain ferry Sandbanks, Poole to Studland, through rolling hills lined by ancient woodland, or, past the silhouette of Corfe Castle. The Purbeck countryside surrounding us in all its seasonal beauty — the perfect setting for a romantic and unforgettable celebration.

At Brenscombe, our Winter Wedding Package is designed to take the stress away and add all the magic. From bespoke cocktails to fireside s’mores, here’s what your special day could look like.

 

What’s Included

Your Signature Cocktail Experience
Included in your package is a private cocktail design session (with optional tasting!) where you’ll choose three cocktails or mocktails for your cocktail hour. We’ll schedule this in advance so it's all perfectly planned.

 

Your Wedding Day Timeline

1:00 PM – Guest Arrival
However they arrive your guests will be welcomed with stunning views, a glass of bubbles, a chilled beer, or a signature mocktail, or if you prefer a warm cocktail on arrival. Our team will serve canapés as your afternoon musicians begin to set the mood.

2:00 PM – The Ceremony
We’ll gently guide everyone across the courtyard to our atmospheric stone barn, where your ceremony takes place beneath vaulted ceilings and centuries-old beams. It’s rustic, romantic, and full of character.

2:45 PM – Cocktail Hour & Photos
After you say "I do," guests return to the bar area for cocktail hour — complete with your chosen drinks. Meanwhile, your photographer captures the joy of the day. A charming Little Hat Tipi is set up in the courtyard just in case of wet weather, keeping everyone cosy and dry.

4:30 PM – Wedding Breakfast
Guests return to the stone barn, now set for dining. Tables are laid with red and white wine, water, and the warm glow of candlelight. Settle in and enjoy your winter warmer wedding breakfast surrounded by love and laughter.

6:00 PM – Cake, Toasts & Prosecco Tower
After dinner, it’s time to cut the cake. We’ll invite guests to take a glass from the Prosecco tower — served in elegant coupes — and raise a toast during your speeches. We ensure everyone gets a glass for the moment.

6:30 PM – Evening Guests Arrive
If you’ve invited additional evening guests, our friendly bar team will welcome them as they ease into the celebration.

7:00 PM – Let’s Dance!
Your DJ or band kicks off the party — time to hit the dance floor and make unforgettable memories.

Evening Food & Firepit
An evening buffet of charcuterie and cheese will be ready for when hunger strikes. And later, gather around the firepit for s’mores under the stars. Guitar-playing guests are always encouraged to bring their instrument — spontaneous singalongs welcome!

We can also arrange a special fireside drinks bar with Hot Chocolate, Warm Cacao, Mulled Wine, or Mulled Cider.

 

The Morning After

If guests are staying over, we provide breakfast the next morning — the perfect time to debrief the dance moves, share stories, and relive the magic.
